Seeking a specialist child and adolescent psychiatrist  for a full time, permanent job with a premier regional general hospital providing secondary level medical and surgical services.

Position Highlights
  • Permanent employment contract
  • Work with mental health team based at the regional 400 bed hospital
  • Provide out patient psychiatry services to children under age 18
  • Scope of practice includes eating disorders, community liaison, psychotherapy
  • Opportunities to mentor and develop junior doctors
  • 40 hour working week plus on call duties
Professional Requirements
  • FRANZCP or equivalent specialist qualification in Psychiatry
  • Vocational registration or eligibility for vocational/provisional registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of psychiatry
Remuneration
  • salary paid in accordance with ASMS scale, dependent upon experience level NZD 200000-350,000 PA
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • Superannuation
  • Study leave allowance of 10 days and NZD 16,000 expenses
  • Comprehensive relocation package
  • Reimbursement of medical licence costs
