We are seeking a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist for a full time position in a rural hospital with a diverse scope of practice. Located in one of New Zealand's most popular locations, this position offers a permanent employment contract, relocation package and attractive remuneration.
Position Highlights:

- 40 hour week plus an equal share of the on-call roster
- you will be working within the community mental health and addictions multidisciplinary clinical team, the acute inpatient unit at the local hospital plus with NGO and primary care providers.
- you will be part of a team of three senior medical officers supporting two registrars and a house officer, looking after a diverse population.
- manage patients with acute and chronic psychiatric disorders, substance abuse and addictions and elderly patients.
The Bay of Plenty is a large region along the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It stretches 260 kilometres from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east. The Bay of Plenty region is home to spectacular beaches, juicy kiwifruit and geothermal wonders.

Requirements for this job
- FRANZP or equivalent qualification
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand as a Specialist Psychiatrist
- Basic salary plus additional on call and out of hours allowances NZD 250000-400000 PA
