About the Positions:
- Provide comprehensive medical and community health services to the Carnarvon/Exmouth Health Service and remote communities.
- Provide clinical leadership, supervision, training, and education.
- Develop and maintain the skills necessary to provide safe, effective, appropriate, and quality clinical service.
- These roles are suitable for rural generalists who get a chance to do emergency department work on a rotating roster, ward type-based care and GP outreach clinics. There is also nonclinical time assigned to the roles.
- Reporting to the Senior Medical Officer at each site will ensure you have the guidance and mentorship to thrive.
- Access to resident specialists in person or via telehealth, and the WACHS Command Centre offer support with rapid care coordination and team leadership Emergency Medicine and Mental Health patients.
- Regularly collaborate with the Royal Flying Doctor Service which will hone your skills in patient retrieval and high-level care.
- Collaborate with Remote Area Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Allied Health staff, Aboriginal Health Workers, and Aboriginal Liaison Officers.
Professional Requirements

- AHPRA registration
- General practice experience
- Additional qualifications in obstetrics and / or anaesthesia required for procedural roles.
