Position highlights
- a 15 bed emergency department seeing 18,000 patients per year
- supported by 24/7 laboratory and radiology services, including CT.
- emergency department is staffed by an eclectic team of doctors – rural specialists, emergency medical officers and emergency specialists.
- assess all patients presenting acutely to the hospital and treat, transfer, or admit as required.
- SMO cover 24 hours per day, 7 days a week,
- 10-hour shift duties
Requirements
- FACEM or equivalent qualification
- Hold current registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in the scope of practice of Emergency Medicine, or equivalent, and must be of good standing.
- salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 450,000 PA DOE

- 6 weeks paid vacation PA
