- unique opportunity for training in all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology, including EP studies, ablation (RF, PFA and Cryo), 3D mapping (CARTO) the full range of device implants (including LBBAP), outpatient clinics and ward management.
- cardiology department is one of New Zealand's leading ones and performs over 300 EP studies and 600 device implants each year.
- dedicated EP lab and 3 other pacing-capable labs (shared with PCI).
- opportunity for research and completion of a postgraduate degree with the University of Auckland (MD or PhD) through the Waikato Clinical School.
- suitable for a cardiologist with electrophysiology skills who now wishes to develop specific skills in electrophysiology intervention
- take part in outpatient clinics, pre-procedural work up, ward referrals, and teaching of junior staff and participate in the on-call cardiology roster
- 40 hour week plus on call rota
Requirements
- FRACP or equivalent qualification and hold or be eligible for registration as a specialist cardiologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand
Remuneration
- salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 450,000 PA DOE
