Seeking a qualified intensive care medicine specialist for a fellowship position in a tertiary hospital in New Zealand's North Island. Competitive compensation with relocation support and visa sponsorship. Starts early 2025 for 12 months.

Position highlights 
  • a tertiary referral and teaching hospital with level 1 major trauma centre located 90 minutes drive from Auckland
  • ICU is a state of the art, 16-bed facility providing all major tertiary services including a major trauma centre and the second largest cardiac surgical centre in New Zealand.
  • provide neurosurgical and regional burns care in addition to a busy general and paediatric intensive care, catering to the needs of 1500 ICU patients and almost 3000 HDU level patients each year.
  • retrieval service by both air and road for critical care patients and a large contingency of cardiac patients.
  • credentialed by the College of Critical Care Medicine at level C24.
  • 40 hour week plus on call rota

Requirements
  • FACICM or equivalent qualification and hold or be eligible for registration as a specialist intensivist with the Medical Council of New Zealand

Remuneration
  • salary and allowances NZD 200,000 - 450,000 PA DOE

  • study leave and allowance of NZD 16K pa
  • 6 weeks paid vacation PA
