Key Responsibilities
1. General Ultrasound Duties
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound imaging for:
- Thyroid
- Breast
- Joints and soft tissues
- Pelvis (non-obstetric)
- Prostate
- Vascular studies (e.g., arterial and venous Doppler).
- Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring their understanding and comfort.
- Operate ultrasound equipment to capture clear, accurate images.
- Assist physicians during specialized ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation of imaging results and ensure timely reporting to referring physicians.
2. Echocardiography Duties
- Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE) to assess cardiac anatomy, function, and blood flow.
- Utilize Doppler imaging techniques to evaluate hemodynamics and detect cardiac abnormalities.
- Collaborate with cardiologists to ensure precise interpretation and reporting of findings.
3. Administrative and Quality Assurance
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure equipment functionality through routine checks and coordinate servicing as needed.
- Adhere to safety, infection control, and institutional policies.
- Support patient scheduling and flow management to optimize efficiency.
Qualifications
Education and Certification
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Echocardiography program.
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
- Specialty certifications in relevant areas (e.g., vascular, breast, musculoskeletal) preferred.
- Echocardiography certification (e.g., RDCS or RCS) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in general ultrasound (thyroid, breast, joints, soft tissues, pelvis, prostate, vascular) and echocardiography.
- Familiarity with non-obstetric pelvic and vascular imaging techniques is essential.

- Excellent technical knowledge and ability to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Strong patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions
- Full-time position (40 hours per week), including occasional evening or weekend shifts if required.
