- 260 bed general level 2 hospital with 24/7 emergency department
- House Officer rotations across departments, including Surgery, Urology, Orthopaedics, Medicine, Assessment Unit, Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, ENT, Emergency Medicine, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Relief. Community-based attachments available.
- Accredited for RACP training, 24 months basic training and 12 months advanced
- Provision of close supervision for trainees in acute and outpatient settings, allied with a commitment to teaching
- 40 hour working week with on call managing out patients, in patients and referrals

Professional Requirements
- A degree in medicine - MBBS, MBChB, MD
- A minimum of 2 years pre-vocational training - FY1/2, internship
- A minimum of 1-year post-graduate experience in the New Zealand health sector or a comparable health system.
- Medical Council of New Zealand general registration or eligibility for this
- salaried job with options of STONZ, NZRDA or IEA pay rates
