Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with patient’s doctor for referrals, notes, and medical history
- Review and evaluate patient through tests, movements, and conversation
- Create and implement treatment care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
- Schedule exercises and therapies for the patient
- Observe and review patient progress
- Assist and demonstrate proper stretches, techniques, exercise moves, and equipment uses
- Be able to perform spinal and joint manipulations, dry needling and other manual therapy
- Work with a variety of patients including physically disabled children, women before and after giving birth, and athletes.
Physiotherapist Requirements and Qualifications
- Masters degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Theory Education; Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
- Diploma in Osteopractic and Spinal Manipulation or can demonstrate strong skills in Osteopractic practice.
- Fellow of the AAMT American Academy of Manipulative Therapy or similar professional body is preferred
- Five years’ experience working in healthcare or physical rehabilitation setting
