Position Highlights
- 40 hour working week, no on call
- Full-time positions suitable for PGY3 and above
- 145 bed secondary care hospital
- on-call acute general medical registrar works in close association with the Emergency Department to manage patients referred either directly to Medicine from community settings or via the Emergency Department team
- outstanding clinical experience in undifferentiated Acute Adult Medicine with excellent support from the Cardiology Team.
- General Physicians are dual specialists with sub-specialty interests including Endocrinology/Diabetes, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Oncology and Haematology, Renal medicine and Intensive Care, Respiratory medicine, Rheumatology and Neurology.
- These specialty practices are predominantly outpatient service based with support provided to the General Medical Admitting Team for inpatient sub-specialty advice and care.
- All registrars are expected to participate in out-patient clinics with their allocated supervising specialist.

Requirements
- Medical degree
- Experience - at least two years of postgraduate experience
- Eligibility for provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
