Position Highlights:
- High-level support and training from experienced surgical consultants and senior medical staff
- Opportunities to teach and mentor junior doctors (SHOs) and medical students, contributing to their professional development.
- Hands-on experience in both directly and indirectly supervised clinics, as well as participation in at least two theatre sessions per week.
- General ward work to further broaden your clinical skills and experience.
- Undertake clinics and theatre sessions under appropriate supervision to enhance your skills and proficiency
- Participate in general ward work to provide comprehensive patient care
- Collaborate with consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Fulfill after-hours on-call duties aligned with the consultant’s roster, with appropriate support provided. On call is one in five nights and weekends.
- Eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- PGY3+ level of experience
- Salary and allowances NZD 100K- 200K
- 6 weeks annual leave, 10 days study leave plus NZD 16K for expenses
