Seeking a junior doctor at the level of PGY4 or above with 6 months experience in general medicine to work as a registrar in haematology in a regional tertiary oncology and heamatology service. Flexible employment terms.

Position Highlights
  • Full time role in public sector secondary care hospital providing  tertiary services in oncology and haematology
  • Teaching Hospital affiliated with 2 medical schools
  • University city in the north island of New Zealand
  • Range of haematology services includes coagulation, thrombosis, non-malignant and malignant haematology including acute myeloid leukaemia and autologous stem cell transplant.
  • Manage in patients and out patients
  • 40 hour week plus on call duties
  • Flexible employment terms of 6-24 months
  • Excellent CME facilities with weekly structured teaching
  • Full support from senior medical staff
  • RACP and RCPA accredited jobs but open to non trainees too
  • Excellent remuneration with visa sponsorship and benefits

Professional Requirements
  • Medical Degree 
  • Eligibility for Medical Council of New Zealand registration under the general scope.
  • A minimum of 3 years postgraduate experience including internship or foundation training with at least 6 months experience in general medicine 
 
Remuneration 
  • Competitive remuneration package based upon level of experience and qualifications comprising basic salary and allowances NZD 120,000 - 250,000 PA
  • Refund of medical practice expenses
  • Superannuation 6%
  • 6 weeks annual leave
  • Access to a thorough continuing medical education programme
  • opportunities to participate in research projects, pursue subspecialist fields of interest and become involved with medical student and junior medical officer postgraduate education.
