Position Highlights
- 6-12 month contracts, starting February or August 2025
- 40 hour week plus on call duties
- FTE post in a large, secondary level, 400-bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 176,000 people.

- Intensive Care Unit caters to both Intensive Care and High Dependency patients, boasting a diverse team of nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals
- admit and transport adult and paediatric patients to tertiary referral centres, offering opportunities for rotary wing and road transfers amidst the stunning landscape.
- ICU holds accreditation as a C12 unit under the CICM training program, with endorsements for General, Rural, and Paediatric training.
- focus on continuous learning and professional development through multidisciplinary teaching and simulation training.
- Medical degree
- PGY3 + experience, minimum but PGY4 preferred
- Should have experience in at least one of Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine, Medicine, Surgery, Anaesthesia, Palliative Care, and / or Rural Medicine.
- Eligibility for general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand
- Competitive salary in accordance with NZRDA or STONZ
- 6% employer contribution to pension scheme
- 6 weeks annual leave and 10 days study leave with $16,000 annual allowance
